Artist's Comments

Commissioned by LysanderXen, based on a character he created for a EXalted game.

Ishani is a young dragon-blooded knight of the House of Bells, although she was raised in the more hedonistic House of Cynis - hence her name. She also had been dubbed The Earthsinger because of her ties to the Earth Element and the training she received at the House of Bells, which allowed to shape her voice into a weapon. The sword she is holding is a harmonic sword - it produces a sound when struck to the ground.
In the picture, Ishani is using her power and expending her essence, which makes her anima (a dragon) appear.

Thanks - actually it took me a long time to come up with patterns as Van wanted an ornated armor. Strangely enough, I got the idea for the patterns on the shoulders after I watched "X-men : The last stand" - I think it came from a character's costume but I can't remember which one. Then the rest fell into place...
It was both exciting and scary to do so much detailed drawing - I usually don't have the sufficient amount of patience for that.

As I said before, you exceeded my expectations, and was very pleased with your artwork, Minamzi.

Everything you did was great, though I also loved the runes on sword.
